「火神山」这个词并不是那个地方的原名，也不是随便取的名字。根据记者报导，这医院名字来自于「炎帝」。炎帝是中国汉族传说中的天下之王。
在中医理论里，肺部属于「金」，而在中国的传统世界观五行里，火克金。这正好与新型冠状病毒不耐高温的特点相符。这「火神山」名字的含义，就是火神驱赶瘟神，就是希望这家医院能战胜新型冠状病毒。
「雷神山」呢？
在八卦里，火属于「离卦」，而雷属于「震卦」。在五行中，「震卦」属「木」，而木生火。所以，火神山和雷神山是相辅相成的，都是为了战胜新型冠状病毒。

To prevent an even bigger outbreak, the Chinese government built two hospitals in Wuhan. Why are the hospitals called “Huoshenshan” and “Leishenshan”?
The name “Huoshenshan” (Fire God Mountain) isn’t the original name for this place, and also not a randomly chosen name. According to reports from journalists, the name of this hospital comes from “Yandi” [known in English as the Yan Emperor or the Flame Emperor]. Yandi was the world emperor in the Chinese legends.
In the Traditional Chinese Medicine theory, the lung belongs to the “metal” element, and in China’s traditional worldview Wu Xing (the concept of five elements), fire overcomes metal. This coincides with the novel coronavirus not tolerating high temperatures. The implied meaning of the name “Fire God Mountain” is that the Fire God drives away Wen Shen (the Gods of Pestilence), that is, hoping that this new hospital will be able to win over the novel coronavirus.
What about “Leishenshan” (Thunder God Mountain), then?
In the [Chinese philosophical concept of] Bagua, fire belongs to “Ligua”, and thunder belongs to “Zhengua”. In the Wu Xing, “Zhengua” is classified as “wood”, and wood gives birth to fire. Therefore, “Huoshenshan” and “Leishenshan” are complementary to defeat the novel coronavirus.

Untuk mencegah wabah yang lebih besar, pemerintah Tiongkok telah membangun dua rumah sakit di Wuhan. Mengapa nama kedua rumah sakit tersebut “Huoshenshan” dan “Leishenshan”?
Nama “Huoshenshan” (Gunung Dewa Api) bukan lah nama asli dari tempat [bangunan] ini, dan juga bukan nama yang asal diberikan. Menurut laporan dari wartawan, nama rumah sakit ini berasal dari “Yan Di” [dikenal dalam bahasa Indonesia sebagai Kaisar Yan atau Kaisar Api]. Dalam legenda Suku Han, Yan Di adalah kaisar dari dunia ini.
Dalam teori Pengobatan Tradisional Tiongkok, paru-paru berelemen “logam”, dan dalam pandangan dunia tradisional Tiongkok Wu Xing (konsep lima elemen), [elemen] api mengalahkan [elemen] logam. Ini bertepatan dengan virus corona yang tidak mentolerir suhu tinggi.
